Do you love lemurs? You can help us learn more about lemurs and their unique adaptations and behaviors by telling all of your friends about lemurs! You can 'adopt' a lemur in our colony to learn more about them, to help us raise the funds we use to care for them, and to teach everyone about conservation.

Here are some lemur fun facts:

• Did you know that Madagascar is the only place in the world where lemurs live in the wild?
• There are approximately 103 species of lemurs - six species live at the Lemur Conservation Foundation in Myakka City, Florida. There are 42 lemurs in our colony.
• Lemur troops (family groups) are led by females.
• Most lemurs spend almost all of their time in the forest canopy and not on the ground.
